What is a MAC Code?

MAC codes explained

Correctly speaking, it is not a MAC code, but a MAC. Just a MAC. MAC is an abbreviation for Migration Authorisation Code. A MAC consists of four letters, always beginning with L, followed by between seven and nine numbers, a slash, and five alphanumeric characters (e.g. LAEM1234567/1F6HT).

Migration authorisation codes (MACs) allow broadband customers to switch between broadband service providers (or internet service providers (ISPs)) with minimal, if any, disruption to their broadband connection.
